About Ametrine
Each Ametrine stone is Unique.
Ametrine, also known as Trystine or by its trade name as Bolivianite, is sister gem to Amethyst and Citrine. This beautiful bi-colour gem is in fact a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow or orange. Almost all commercially available ametrine is mined in Bolivia making the gem rarer, and often significantly more expensive than its sisters. Stones can vary in value given the depth and vividness of colors and the distinction of the color separation are the main value points.
